Obituary for John E Ruggieri

John Edward Ruggieri, 57, of Bloomfield NJ passed away on July 10, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.

Visitation will be held on Sunday (today) from 1-5pm at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St, Montclair caggianomemorial.com, with a funeral Mass on Monday 10 am at Sacred Heart Church in Bloomfield. Entombment will be at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield.

John was born & raised in Montclair NJ. It was there that he met his teenage sweetheart Debra. They married in 1988 & settled in Bloomfield NJ.

John graduated from Fordham University and Seton Hall Law School. He worked as a lawyer with the William Ewing Law firm practicing law for a number of years & then decided to change careers, partnering with his childhood buddy Tony & started the Rubino Construction Group. John then went to work as a carpenter building & installing office furniture, most recently with Office Furniture Services.

John was very active with his parish Sacred Heart Church in Bloomfield, where he was an usher & member of the Holy Name Society.

John's favorite pastimes were fishing, spending time with his Dog GiGi, but his favorite thing to do was spend time with his family.

John was predeceased by his father Bartholomew. And is survived by his wife of 27 years Debbie. (nee Cetta), his mother Alice Ruggieri, his siblings Anne Thoreson & her husband John, Paul & his wife Donna, Mark & his wife Jackie. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews who he loved deeply.
