Obituary for Caroline M Ferrucci
Caroline M. Ferrucci Montclair centenarian, retired elementary school teacher Caroline M. Ferrucci, 100, of Montclair, N.J., passed away on Dec. 12, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Dec. 17, at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Montclair. Interment is in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Upper Montclair, N.J. Visiting will be on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St., Montclair, caggianomemorial.com.
Caroline was born in La Plume, Pa., and then moved to Bloomfield, N.J., before settling in Montclair over 70 years ago. She graduated from Newark State Teachers College (presently Kean University) in 1940 and worked for over 35 years as a first-grade teacher at Carteret School in Bloomfield, retiring in 1976.
Caroline was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas Ferrucci, in 1977; a brother, Francis Montini, and a sister, Josephine Dauster. She is survived by her children, James Ferrucci of Verona, N.J., and Patricia Auron of Burnsville, Minn.; her sisters, Splendora Keuhlen of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Loretta Callaway of Harwich Port, Cape Cod, Mass.; one grandchild, Matthew Auron of Los Angeles, Calif.; one great-grandchild, Liana, and many loving nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, please send a memorial contribution in Caroline's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , P.O. Box 1893, Memphis, Tenn. 38101-9950.
