Mary Thelma Filkins, (nee Van Dunk) 100 of Montclair , passed away on January 15, 2016 at her home.
Thelma was born and raised in Hillburn, NY before moving to Montclair 74 years ago. She is survived by her children, Valerie Spain and her husband Roger of Montclair NJ,Hon. Jesse B. Filkins Jr. and his wife Kirra of Scottsdale AZ., her grandchildren, Donna Filkins, Dr. Anthony Spain, Lisa Filkins, Susan Spain, Katherine Spain, Stephen Spain and her great grandchildren, Kyle, Erin, Stephanie, Julian, Jesse III, and Jared, and is predeceased by her husband Jesse Filkins Sr., and 6 siblings
