Obituary for Kathleen M Bronander

Kathleen M. Bronander, of Montclair, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, April 26th.

Born August 3, 1936 in Trenton, PA, she grew up in Yardley and graduated from Georgetown Visitation. In 1957, she met her beloved husband Franklin “Burt” Bronander on the Sea Girt Beach, they married five months later. Their love story would continue for 58 years.

Moving to Montclair in 1971, Kathleen was a successful Realtor for over twenty-five years and was a vibrant member of the community. She was active in the Junior League of Montclair-Newark, Garden Club of Montclair, President of the Lions Club and Mercier Club, and was Essex County Republican Committee Woman for multiple terms.

However, her biggest passion in life was spending time with her family, particularly her grand-children, and collecting shells on the beaches of Sanibel Island with her beloved husband Burt.

Kathleen is survived by her husband of 58 years, Franklin Burton Bronander Sr., their five children, Katherine Joslin, Franklin B. Bronander Jr., Joanne Bronander, Albert Bronander, Tara Fitzgibbons and their spouses, 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, and is predeceased by her parents, Kathyrn and Albert Francis Moriconi and her siblings Christopher, Joanne and Richard.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 20th at 10am at St Cassian Church, 187 Bellevue Avenue, Upper Montclair.
