Obituary for Judith Collins
Judith A. Collins (nee Savanello), 58, of West Caldwell, passed away Friday, September 23rd, at Mountainside Hospital in Glen Ridge. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday September 28th at 10am at St Aloysius Church in Caldwell, interment at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Montclair. Visiting will be on Tuesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St, Montclair. caggianomemorial.com
Judy was born in Glen Ridge, grew up in Bloomfield before moving to West Caldwell. A graduate from the Mountainside Hospital School of Nursing, she was a RN for many years at the Montclair Orthopedic Group in Glen Ridge and more recent at the Health Department in the Town of Belleville.
She will always be remembered as a very loving and caring person who always enjoyed making things, helping others and volunteering for many organizations and events. Baking the best Christmas cookies and Cupcakes, enjoying time with family and friends and cherishing time spent at the seashore.
She is survived by her husband Donald Collins, her daughter Brittney Collins, their family pet ZAC, her mother Martha Savanello (nee Cardell), her brother Victor Savanello and his wife Maria, a brother-in-law Daniel Collins and his wife Patricia, and by her nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her father Victor Savanello.
