Obituary for Margaret Manion
Margaret "Peggy" Carlucci Salowey Manion, of West Caldwell, formerly of Montclair, NJ and Port Chester, NY, passed away at the age of 93 on November 5th, 2016.
Peggy was a wonderful mother, grandmother, wife, sister & daughter. Many lives were blessed by her vibrant personality, joy of entertaining and love of family. She was a member of the Glen Ridge Country Club 9 Holers, secretary for Port Chester Junior High School and co-president of the family business.
She is survived by her children, Michael Salowey and his wife Phyllis, Richard Salowey and his wife Gail, Gail M. Salowey, Kimberly Manion Breen and her husband Joseph, and eight grandchildren (Liza Salowey Story, Mike and Alexa Ciecierski, Jessica and Caroline Breen, Cassidy, James and Sadie Melton-Manion). She is predeceased by her husbands Michael E. Salowey in 1963 and James T. Manion in 1999, son Tracy Manion, and her sisters Theresa "Terry" Erickson and Marie "Mickey" Heath.
Visiting will be on Friday November 18th from 4-8pm at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St., Montclair. caggianomemorial.com. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10am at St. Cassian's Church in Upper Montclair.
