Immacolata “Tina” Cerrigone, of Cedar Grove, passed away on Saturday January 21st, 2017. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday January 25th at 10am at St Theresa’s of Calcutta Parish- Church of the Immaculate Conception, 30 North Fullerton Ave. Interment will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Upper Montclair. Visiting will be on Tuesday from 4-8pm at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St, Montclair. Caggianomemorial.com
Tina was born December 8, 1936 in San Giorgio Albanese, Italy. Tina emigrated from Italy to Montclair, NJ with her parents and two younger brothers in 1963, where she lived until moving to Cedar Grove in 1983. Tina started her career as a beautician working in Montclair at before joining her brothers Cosmo and Jerry at the their family business, Via Veneto Men’s Salon in Cedar Grove, for the past 51 years. Tina was well known and loved by many customers and acquaintances for her contagious smile and warm persona, which made you feel like part of the family, even if it was your first time meeting her. Tina was predeceased by her cherished parents Damiano and Rosina (nee Zicaro). Tina is survived by four beloved siblings: her sister Maria of Quilmes, Argentina; Giorgio and his wife Teresa of Istrana, Italy; Cosmo and his wife Jane of Little Falls; and Jerry and his wife Lori of North Caldwell. Tina is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews: Jerry and his wife Liz; Joseph and his wife Nicole; Giancarlo, Francesca, Nicholas, Isabella and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
