Nicolena Battito (nee Giannetti) ,94, of Woodland Park , passed away on Monday January 30th, 2017. Visiting will be on Saturday February 4th from 10am -12:30pm at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St, Montclair, with a funeral service to begin at 12:30pm at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.


Nicolena was born in Lacedonia, Italy, before coming to Nutley, Montclair and Woodland Park. She was a machine operator at Sterling Net & Twine in Montclair for many years.

She is survived by her children, Mark Battito, Gary Battito and his wife Patty, her brother Leonard Giannetti, her grandchildren, Nicole Calavano and her husband John, Michelle, Megan and Morgan Battito, and was predeceased by her husband Marco in 1988, and by her siblings, James, Joe and Rick Giannetti, and Eva Detore.
