Obituary for Margaret Alice Pratt
Margaret Alice Pratt (nee Cunningham), 69, of Bloomfield, passed away at her home on Thursday, February 23, 2017. Visiting will be held on Sunday from 1-5pm at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St, Montclair. Visiting will also be on Monday at St Peter’s Church in Belleville from 9:30am-10:30am. A mass of Christian burial begin at 10:30am, interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Belleville.
Margaret was born in New Brunswick, raised in Old Bridge, lived in Montclair, and most recently Bloomfield. She was a teacher for special needs children in Jefferson Twp school system, and a member of the NJ Counsel for Exceptional Children, the secretary for NJ Division for Early Childhood Education, a long time member and secretary of the Women’s Club of Bloomfield, a member of the Rosary Society of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Montclair for 35 years, the secretary for the Rosary Society at St Peter’s Church in Belleville, coordinated the Giving Tree and a volunteer at the Food Pantry at St. Peters Church.
She is survived by her husband Charles Pratt of 49 years, her children Charles and Lorraine Pratt, her siblings, Ella McCann, and Thomas and Michael Cunningham, and was predeceased by her parents, Michael Joseph and Margaret Alice (nee Coleman) Cunningham
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Women’s Club of Bloomfield, and the Church of St. Peter for the Food Pantry, 155 William St, Belleville, 07109
