Obituary for Richard D Jones

Richard D. Jones passed away May 1, 2017 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family. A funeral mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Bloomfield on Friday May 5th at 10:00. Viewing services will be held on Thursday, May 4th from 4-8 at Caggianos Funeral Home in Montclair, N.J. Cremation services will be private.

Rich grew up in Kearny N.J. where he excelled in sports and later developed a passion for weightlifting. He made many life-long friends there and had many cherished memories. Rich was a flexographic printer for many years working most recently at C.I. Filing in Totowa N.J. He later married his wife Cheryl and they moved to Bloomfield to raise their two cherished children Bryan and Kari-Lynn. Rich was a devoted father who loved spending time with his kids, they both filled his life with joy and happiness till his very last day on this earth. He will be so dearly missed by them. Richard and Cheryl would have been married 30 years this coming August.

Rich is survived by his loving and devoted wife Cheryl, his children Bryan and Kari-Lynn, his father Robert, his loving brother Michael and his girlfriend Debbie, his nieces Ricki-Leigh and Jessica, his father-in-law Joe, his devoted and life-long friend Eddie Abromaitis. Richard was also predeceased by his loving mother Esther, devoted Aunt Evelyn, and mother-in-law Florence.
