Obituary for Mildred Lombardi

Mildred Lombardi (née DeFalco) lifetime resident of Montclair passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, September 3, 2017 Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass at 10 AM on Thursday, September 7th at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Verona. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair.
Millie (Moody) was a dedicated stay at home until 1970 when she began to work in the deli department at Kings in Upper Montclair and continued on to Kings in Verona. She also worked for Lombardi Jewelers in Montclair for 10 years. The family would like to thank all the members of Saint Barnabas Hospice, and Vanguard Medical Center elderly care unit for the devotion, love, support and care. Thank you to our dear Roza and my amazing father. Milly was the mother of Joseph and his wife Tracey; Ginger and her husband Don Reilly, Peter and his wife Janice. Grandmother of BJ and Jamie Reilly, Vincent and Rebecca Lombardi, Jessica, Alissa, Gabrielle and Peter Joseph Lombardi, and Great grandmother of Serena and Jackson. Millie wad Predeceased by her husband Joseph Lombardi, Sister Catherine Sichko, Virginia Farrant, Teresa Trojanowski, and brothers Julia DeFalco and Nicholas. Millie was a mother to everyone, teaching them to be positive and grateful. She lived big and loved big. She taught us all the we are one in humanity, one race with love. She taught us our purpose is to serve others. When you were with her she made you feel that you were the most important person in the world. Always selfless and appreciative. She never graduated but had her doctorate in love. She will live in our hearts forever.
