Francine Lee Persak, 71, of Glen Ridge formerly of Wallington, passed away suddenly at her home on November 24th, 2017. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11am on Thursday November 30th, at Holy Name of Jesus Church in East Orange. Cremation will be private. Francine is survived by her Husband Carl J. Persak Jr, her children Allison Lee Forstmann and her husband Stephan, Carl J. Persak III, and his wife Erin Shakespeare, her grandchildren, Justin, Sophia, Jack, Julian Lee, and Lucinda, and by eight siblings. She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Irene (Potosnak) Piechota, and by her sister Marcia.
Francine graduated summa cum laude from the School of Visual Arts in NYC with a Bachelor in Fine Arts, and had a long career as an artist and iconographer that took her on travels around the world. She was a long-time cherished member of the Rosary Society at Holy Name of Jesus Church, past president of the Glen Ridge Community Fund, and a late-blooming garage sale specialist. Francine brought a beauty and vigor to life that will forever inspire the family, and was the most loving, dedicated wife, mother, and most recently, grandmother a family could ever imagine. We will all miss you dearly.
