Angelo A. DiPrenda, “Spaly”, 94, of Montclair, passed away on Monday, December 18th, 2017. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30am on Thursday December 28that Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Montclair, with an entombment at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 2-4pm and 7-9 pm at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St, Montclair. Caggianomemorial.com
Spaly was born and raised in Montclair, and was a WWII Veteran of the US Marine Corp. He worked for the Township of Montclair at the Ice Rink, where he enjoyed driving the Zamboni for many years.
Angelo is survived by his wife Domenica “Minnie” (nee DiBella), and by his daughter Diane DiGisco and her husband Ralph and by his son Nick and his wife Patti, and his grandchildren Danielle and Nicholas, and his great grandchildren Marisa, Dylan, and Matthew, and by his brother Vincent DiPrenda, and was predeceased by his parents Nicola and Anna DiPrenda (nee Lungaro), and by 12 siblings.
