Obituary for Connie Durino

Connie (nee DeVincenzo) Durino, 71, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on New Year’s Eve.. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10am on Saturday January 6th, at St. Lucy’s Church in Newark, with an interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Visiting hours will be on Friday, January 5th from 4-8pm at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St, Montclair. Caggianomemorial.com



She was born in Newark on June 29th, 1946 to the late Marie (Cargiulo) and Louis DeVincenzo. Also predeceased by her husband Rocco Durino.

Connie had tremendous faith in God. She loved family traditions, music and the Yankees especially Jeter. She was a billing coordinator and loyal employee of Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi in their West Orange Office. She touched many lives there over the years and was so committed that she worked up until 3 months ago.

Connie will be sadly missed by loving sister and brother-in-law, Annette and Phil Bevere. Devoted niece and Godchild, Danielle Bevere. Dear nephew and niece, Louis and Fabiane Bevere. As well as special “step-sis” Karen Paulercio, many friends and generations of cousins most of whom called her Aunt Connie.
