Alice Boggs, 97, of Montclair, passed away on Saturday February 17th, 2018. Viewing will be held on Friday February 23rd, from 11am-12pm at St. Paul’s Baptist Church, 119 Elm St, Montclair. A funeral service will begin at 12pm, followed by interment at Rosedale Cemetery, Montclair.



Born in Statham, Georgia, on November 8th, 1920 to Mattie and Emory Stephens, she moved to Montclair, New Jersey in 1939 and married Willie Nathaniel Boggs, deceased, on September 26th, 1940. Alice leaves to mourn her loss her son, Otis (Glenna), daughters Linda and Gail, niece/daughter Louella Walker (Melvin), four grandchildren Lisa Boggs-Layton (Stewart), Jason (Sharda), Willie and Mattie Larson, two great-grandchildren Torry and Kyndall, sisters-in-law Mary Boggs, and Betty Stephens, and brother-in-law Booker T. Boggs. Multiple cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Alice was predeceased by daughter Patricia, sisters Ivy and Lucille and brothers Lucious and Donald.
