Catherine E. Burroughs (nee Dade), 82, lifelong Montclair resident, passed away on Saturday, September 29th, 2018. The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday October 4th from 4-7pm at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St, Montclair. Catherine was a RN for many years, working at Essex County Hospital and as a Visiting Nurse for Community Nursing Services of East Orange. She participated in the March on Washington in 1963.

She is survived by her children, Lavinia Burroughs, Francis Burroughs, George Burroughs and his wife Greer, her siblings, Ward Dade, Marie Brown, Helen McPhearson, and by her grandchildren, Kevin, Kamaryn, Grant, and Garrett, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Francis Burroughs, and by her brother, Ernest Dade.
