Obituary for Anthony Zichelli

Anthony Zichelli, 86, of Bloomfield formerly of Montclair, passed away Tuesday, February 24th, 2015. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday February 28, at 10am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Montclair, interment at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Upper Montclair. Visiting will be on Friday from 4-8pm at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St, Montclair. caggianomemorial.com

Tony formerly owned Flamingo Home Decorators, and served as president of the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America, and most recently ran his own business distributing metal polishing buffs and wheels. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Tony was a very caring, generous person, who loved animals and was very devoted to his family and friends. His big heart and great sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.

Tony is survived by his wife, Ione Santos Zichelli, his sisters Marie Manley, and Rose Rinaldi, his nephews, Jerry and James Zichelli, Robert, Kenneth and Russell Manley, and Edward Isganitis, his nieces, Eileen Burris, Patricia Douma, and Judy River, and 18 grand nieces and nephews whom he all loved dearly.

He is predeceased by his first wife Vincenza DiNapoli Zichelli, his brothers Jerry and Frank Zichelli, and his sisters, Josephine Isganitis, and Nicholina Michalchick.
