Obituary for George C "Buddy" Wright

George C. "Buddy" Wright , 80, of Toms River formerly of West Caldwell, Point Pleasant and Bloomfield, passed away Wednesday, June 17th, 2015. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday (June 23) at 10:30am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Montclair, and Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Visiting will be on Monday (June 22) from 4-8pm at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St, Montclair. caggianomemorial.com Buddy was employed by the N.J. Highway Authority and retired from the Montclair Board of Education in 1995 as a painter. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was the Past President and Trustee of the Anglers and Hunting Association of Bloomfield, and served in the US Navy during the Korean War aboard the HW Butler 113. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Angelina (nee Zarro) Wright, his children, Curtis and his wife Nancy, Robert and his wife Allison, his grandsons, Curtis and his wife Erica, Nicholas, his sister, Mary Jane Camisa, sisters in law, Vincenza Zarro, Shirley (Paul) Drexler, Rosemarie Caponegro and Barbara Scillia, and was predeceased by his parents, Curtis and Margaret (Lawler) Wright, his sister Irene Liolia, his nephew Angelo Liolia, and brothers in law, Rocco and Robert Zarra and Joseph Caponegro.
