Vincent Tango, lifelong Montclair resident, passed away on Monday April 29th, 2019.

Vincent was an artist very well known for his "Memories of Montclair" pieces. He was a serious Montclair historian, avid Montclair High School Football fan and most recently an amateur writer; as seen by his heartfelt posts in the Montclair Local. Montclair being the "theme" here, as he had such love for the town as all can attest.

He is survived by his sister, Barbara Franciosi, his brother-in-law Vincent Nicastro, his nieces and nephews Kim Romola, Vincent Nicastro, Lisa Snipes, Lynne Franciosi, and Lainie Zink, along with many great nieces and nephews. Vin was predeceased by his sisters, Marion Tango and Rosalie Nicastro.
Funeral services will be held privately with respect to his wishes.

Anyone wishing to make donations in his memory may do so to the Montclair History Center.

I have not seen Vinnie for several years; the last time was to purchase some of his art for my family in Florida. They are now all deceased so I have been redistributing them to other members of my family who never got to know him. I am a cousin on the Ruggiero side and as a child would visit his home with my parents who were good friends of his parents. I was very fond of them as well. I send you my sympathy and I am thinking of Vinnie with a tear in my eye. His paintings will have even more meaning as we remember him and his gentleness. God bless you all. Dr. Shelley Reciniello
