Obituary for Giuseppe (Joseph) DiMaggio
Giuseppe (Joseph) DiMaggio, 78, of Montclair, NJ, died on July 2, 2019 after a short but valiant battle against cancer.
Mr. DiMaggio was born to Gaetano and Gaetana (Gambino) DiMaggio and was raised in Torretta, Sicily, Italy with his two brothers, Salvatore and Natale, and his three sisters, Giuseppina, Rosaria, & Maria.
Mr. DiMaggio and his wife, Emily, raised their family in Montclair. Mr. DiMaggio is predeceased by his wife of 38 years, Emily (Monaco), whom passed away in 2007, and three siblings, Salvatore DiMaggio, Giuseppina Mignano, and Rosaria Scalici; he is survived by his brother, Natale DiMaggio, and his sister, Maria Gambino; his daughters, Tina Morris (Bill Morris), Mary Volpe (Joseph Volpe), Sally DiMaggio, and Josephine Alexander (Tom Alexander); his eight beloved grandchildren, Joe and Sam Volpe; Emily, Kate, Allie, and Will Morris; and Amelia and Ryan Alexander; his sister-in-law, Debbie Rivera; his nephew, Mimmo Mignano; and his nieces, Tanina Davi, Michelle Rombough, and Mariana Galazzo; as well as a large extended family

Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 5, at Caggiano Memorial Home, 62 Grove St., Montclair. Funeral services will also be held at Caggiano Memorial Home on Saturday, July 6, at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 712 Grove Street, Montclair.
