Priscilla Ann Lawrence (Newsome) of Bloomfield, NJ, formerly of Montclair, passed away on Wednesday July 17th, 2019. Priscilla, daughter of the late Kenneth E. Newsome, Sr. and Flora Mae Newsome was born and raised in Montclair and a graduate of Montclair High School. Priscilla worked for NJ Bell and later began working in medical billing for Montclair Community Hospital in Montclair and Blue Cross Blue Shield in Philadelphia for many years. She was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Baptist Church in Montclair. At the time of her passing, Priscilla was a member of The Life Christian Church in West Orange and was a passionate and devoted volunteer.

Priscilla is survived by her daughters Renee Foster and Larissa Morris, sons-in-law; Anthony Foster and Eugene Morris, grandchildren; Jalen Morris, Jordan Morris, Justin Morris and Noah Foster, nieces; Dawn Owens, Kristin Peniston, and Candice Marinaro, nephews; Damon Owens, Michael Peniston, and Rodney Lawrence, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida, Texas, Nebraska, Canada, England and Trinidad that she loved dearly. Priscilla was predeceased by her parents Kenneth E. Newsome and Flora Mae Newsome, sisters; Julia Owens and Pamela Peniston, and brother Kenneth E Newsome. Jr.

Viewing will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2019, 9:00AM-11:00AM, at The Life Christian Church, located at 747 Northfield Avenue, West Orange NJ. Priscilla’s celebration of life service will begin at 11:00AM. Interment will follow.
