Obituary for Sam Fumosa
Sam Fumosa, age 91, died peacefully in Fairfield, NJ on Monday October 7th, 2019. The viewing is Thursday from 4-8p.m. at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St, Montclair, N.J. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday October 11th, at 9:30 a.m at Our lady of Lourdes Church in West Orange. Cremation will be private. Condolences can be sent to caggianomemorial.com.
He has been a member of the Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America (OSDIA) for over 45 years. He was awarded the honor of President Emeritus of the Grand Lodge of New Jersey earlier this year.
Sam is survived by his sister Kay Cannella, his children and their spouses, Barbara Wisniewski and her husband, Ken Wisniewski, Steven Fumosa and his wife, Mary Fumosa, Joseph Fumosa and his wife, Francine Fumosa; grandchildren, Angela Laird, Ronnie Trisuzzi, Dori Warren, Serena DiMuro, Samantha Fumosa, Joseph Fumosa, Lucy Fumosa; and great-grandchildren, Michael Laird, Ronnie Trisuzzi, Johnny Trisuzzi, Annabella Laird, Ashton Warren, Madeline Warren, Elizabeth Warren, and Benjamin DiMuro.
He was predeceased by his wife Rita in 2016, and by his brothers Frank, Thomas, Julius, and William Fumosa, and four sisters, Lucy Barbarise, Mary Schultz Caggiano, Mildred Dagostino, and Rose Degatana,
