I remember him when I was a cousin and I would ride our bicycles to his gas station and he would be doing mechanics..while my cousin and I would put air in out tires...Little did I know that years later, I would see him again because he was friends with my mom's (Sandra Underdue) fiance, Mr. William (Bill) Harris of the Tri-State Motorcycle Club. Bobby always had a smile on his face and was a compassionate and helpful man..very pleasant to be sorry to hear..but I know that he is an ANGEL now..just like he was here on earth💙

So Sorry to hear of Robert Pines passing today on my birthday post today.
Our condolences to Robert and Tori and family.
When I first met Mr.Pines in the 1981 coming from Florida and nowhere to stay he just put me up and helped me along.
He was true inspiration to me....He is always smiling and give you those lessons about life.
After 35 years I met Robert Pines at his Auto Shop in Montclair briefly ,he was still sharp and was a real pleasure to met him on September 2019.
We will miss you .

My condolences to Bobby and Tori on the loss of your dad. As I close my eyes I see Bobby as a Tri-Stater motorcycle rider and a Sundowner organizing annual picnics, as a landlord always making sure that his real estate was kept in the best shape and as an auto mechanic making sure that Montclair car owners were safe on the road. As he grew older and his eye sight started to didn't stop Bobby from coming out to the Harrison Diner to socialize with friends or stopping by anywhere to catch a live jazz show. Always smiling he and Carole will be missed by all of us who were blessed to know them. Big hug to Tootsie, Bobby and Tori
