Obituary for Lawrence F. Baker

Lawrence Frank Baker, 91, of Bloomfield, NJ, passed away on July 24, 2020.

Lawrence was born on February 18, 1929 to Margaret and William Baker. Lawrence grew up in Newark, NJ and moved to Bloomfield in 1951. Happily, he resided in his family home for almost 70 years.

Lawrence was predeceased by his loving wife of 54 years, Margaret J. Baker (nee Thompson). Lawrence was the beloved father to Matthew and his wife Annette. He was an adoring grandfather to his only grandchild, Justin Matthew. Dear brother of Mrs. Carol Weierich,
the late Walter (Barbara) and the late William (Viola). Lawrence enjoyed a close relationship with his siblings and loved them very much. Mr. Baker is survived by many nieces and nephews as well as many great nieces and nephews who he cherished.

Lawrence was an assistant manager for A&P and later ShopRite for almost 50 years. His impeccable work ethic allowed him to be a wonderful provider for his family.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, July 26th from 3 to 7pm at Caggiano Memorial Home, 62 Grove Street, Montclair, NJ (masks are required). Services will take place at the funeral home at 6pm. A private interment will take place at Restland Memorial Park in East Hanover.
