Although I am a retired Amtrak Police Lieutenant, having worked for 38 years in the New York Division, I did not know Piero until he came to work at St. Bernadette's Church, where I am the President of the Senior's Club and did the Friday Bingo. He and I had some great discussions about Police work and how happy we were being retired. We also had a good laugh the first time I was introduced to him and he told me his name was Piero...I thought he was referring to his last name, which is my wife's maiden name, spelt 'Pierro'. Everyone who met Piero at St. B's loved him and we all morn your loss.

Anybody that knows me know I referred to you as my work dad and I loved you dearly. You always listened to my problems, had my back, taught me the job and never judged me. You were one of the best supervisors I ever had and you will truly be missed.

Pete you were a stand up guy. Always enjoyed working with you. Never a bad bone in your body. A true Italian American which you were proud.
