Obituary for James "Jim" Dolan
James J. Dolan, affectionately known as Jim to his family and friends, passed away the morning of Thursday, January 7 after a valiant fight with multiple myeloma. His caring smile and consistant optimism throughtout his life touched the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known him, either through his 22 years as Vice-President of Distribution at David's Cookies or as a Board Trustee at The Four Seasons of North Caldwell. His kindness and dedication to his family were the cornerstone of his life and will act as his legacy for all to remember.
His is survived by his loving and caring wife of 22 years, Angela (Capurso) . Jim was Angela’s soulmate, best friend and constant companion. Angela and Jim were inseparable, always holding hands walking in their Community, even watching TV together at night. Jim was always there for her challenging needs. Being married to Jim were the best 22 years of her life. Angela feels so blessed that they had such a strong bond and love for each other. Angela will miss his beautiful smile! Jim will always live in her heart and mind forever!
He is the father of Sean and his wife Johanna, Ryan, and his wife Amanda, and Kevin Dolan. He was also stepfather to Dominic Darpino and his wife Cheryl and grandfather to Jared, Zachary and Elaina Darpino.
Jim is also survived by his sister Deirdre Dolan, his brother William and his wife Cindy Dolan, niece, Demi and nephew Jonathan.
Jim was so proud of his grandchildren, using Facetime to see and speak with them as much as possible. His grandchildren Ashlyn, Connor and Travis meant the world to him.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 10 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm.
