Anthony Eugene Moorman was born on July 22, 1965 in Montclair, New Jersey to John and Judy Moorman. Anthony was the youngest of three children including, Sherri Renee Moorman and John Earl Moorman Jr.
Anthony attended the Montclair, New Jersey public school system. While at Montclair High School, Anthony played Varsity basketball and participated in various extra-curricular activities. He attended the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore in Princess Anne, where he studied engineering.
Anthony worked in various service and sales roles most of his adult life. While living in Las Vegas, Anthony developed his sales skills by selling vehicles for Fletcher Jones, real estate for Rhodes Ranch Homes and ran a very successful branch of Vegas Home Source. He had an entrepreneurial spirit and started several businesses beginning with a power washing business in the 1980’s. Anthony later founded Certified Realty Group with his brother in 2014 and mentored and trained his son Anthony Eugene Ellis to join the family business. Anthony continued to expand and lead the successful business until his transition.
Anthony, a devoted family man, loved his children Anthony, Zayna, Zivon, and Zakary with all his heart and soul. He cherished the time he spent with them from birthdays, graduations, to many milestones. He extended that same nurturing love to his nieces and nephews, Shanell, Robert, Rendyll, Jilyan and Joshua. Anthony met and married his soulmate Samantha Renee Hicks and welcomed her children Amiel, Adria, Summer, and her grandchildren into his heart. They built a home together in Owings Mills, Maryland. Anthony was committed to ensuring his beloved younger cousins were cared for and he was there to support them. Anthony was a giving soul who would do anything for anyone. As his colleagues can attest, he treated his business associates and professional team members as family.
Often when traveling to New Jersey, he would visit the old neighborhoods he grew up in, spend time with friends and family, and never left without stopping at Star Tavern.
Anthony always dreamed big dreams. Although he grew up under some challenging circumstances, he believed he could accomplish anything. He was practical and realized success would require more than big dreams. He knew he had to work hard to accomplish his goals and he embraced the hard work as part of the road to success. From an early age Anthony enjoyed life to the fullest. His mother describes young Anthony as a sweet and mischievous child. He always tinkered with things, fixing anything he could get his hands on. Anthony loved cars. As a teenager, Anthony disassembled a car engine, painted it red, white, and blue and reassembled the engine. He loved passionately and would give the shirt off of his back to the ones he loved.
Anthony was predeceased by his sister, Sherri Renee Moorman, nephew Darius Frye, his father, John Earl Moorman Sr, his maternal grandparents, Eugene and Jean Weeks, his paternal grandparents, John and Fronie Moorman, and maternal aunt Sharon Jones.
