Obituary for Charles Fleming

Charles Fleming passed away unexpectedly on August 5, 2021. He was born in Montclair, New Jersey, on August 23, 1953. He was the son of Richard Fleming I and the late Yvonne Fleming.
He graduated from Montclair High School in 1971. He continued his education at the University of Wisconsin, Madison Campus. He received his Bachelor of Science in 1975. He later attended The University of Chicago, where he received his Masters Degree in 1977.
He returned to Montclair in 1978 after receiving his Registered Nursing Degree. He worked for 31 years with the Essex County Hospital. He was driven by a passion to help others.
He was an avid reader, loved music – especially jazz. He had a quick wit and a great sense of humor. He never missed a family reunion.
He leaves to cherish his memory his son Richard Fleming II, father Richard Fleming I, ex-wife Vilma Fleming, two grand children, two aunts Barbara Green and Lillian Stirling, and a host of cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
