Obituary for Connie Freda
Concetta “Connie” Freda (nee DiBenedetto) of Fairfield, 79, passed away on September 5th, 2021. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday September 11th at 10:30 AM at Saint Lucy's Church in Newark followed by a burial at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Upper Montclair. Visiting will be Friday, September 10th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St., Montclair.
Connie was born and raised in Aquilonia(AV), Italy, before moving to Newark, East Orange and settling in Fairfield. She worked in customer service at Safilo USA, in Parsippany for many years and retired from there. She was a member of the DaVinci club in Fairfield.

She is survived by her son Pasquale Freda and his wife Lucrezia, daughters Adriana Caronia and her husband Richard, Anita Stabile and her husband Donald, Paula Didyk and her husband Jeff, her sister Maria DiMilia and her husband John, sisters-in-law Flavia and Immacolata, her grandchildren, Richard, Vincent, Samantha, Elyssa, Christian, Stephanie, Jeffrey, and Matthew and by many nieces and nephews, and she was predeceased by her brothers Gerardo, Donato, Gaetano, her sister-in-law Nina and nephews Nicolino and Piero.
In lieu of flowers donations will be accepted by her family for a plaque in her memory at the National Shrine of Saint Gerard or to the Cystinosis Foundation of New Jersey.
