Obituary for Gennaro Torella
Gennaro Torella of Little Falls, formerly of Newark, passed away on November 27, 2021. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10am on Tuesday, November 30th at Holy Angels Church in Little Falls, with an entombment at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover. Visiting Monday 2-4pm & 7-9pm at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St, Montclair.
Gennaro was a Lieutenant for the Newark Police Department for 25 years before retiring, the working at Hendrick’s Field in Belleville and Byrne Golf Course in West Orange as the starter for the golf courses
He is survived by his children, James Torella (Francine), Marie Reiff (Rich), his step children Ben and Dean Gabriel, his daughter-in-law Katharina, and by his grandchildren, Keith, Chrissy, and Jacqueline Reiff, Jimmy, and Joshua Torella, Benjamin and Julienne Gabriel, and great grandson Jimmy, and was predeceased by his wife Ursula, his brother Harry Torella and by his parents Jimmy and Marie
