Obituary for Michael Antonelli

Michael Antonelli, 83, most recently of Montclair, NJ entered into eternal rest on February 15, 2022 after a battle with leukemia. Michael is survived by his wife Noreen, his son David (Marisa), his son Jamie (Andrea) and his three grandchildren Daniel, Michael and Joseph.

Michael was born on December 8, 1938 in Medford, MA and was the youngest of five brothers (Paul, Stephen, Frank, and Donald). The first of his family to attend college, he graduated from Salem State University and later the masters program at Syracuse University. Upon graduation, Michael taught in the Social Studies department at Medford High School. He later transitioned to the financial services industry where he thrived in sales roles. He and Noreen started their own company, AIM Systems, out of their home, self-financing it, and growing it into a major insurance agency with over 60 employees.

For all those that knew Michael, he was the eternal optimist and dreamer and a firm believer that attitude is everything. The countless success stories of his former students, employees, and family show the tremendous impact of Michael’s affirming nature, which inspired all those around them to believe they could achieve their very best. He was generous on many levels - with his spirit, his time and all that he had. He was a wonderful loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, an organization that provides support to leukemia patients and their families.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10am on Monday February 21, 2022, at St. Catherine's of Siena Church in Cedar Grove. Cremation was private.
