Obituary for Edward Catalano

Edward Catalano of Lincoln Park, NJ passed away on March 28, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Dora; his father, Joseph; his brother, Joseph; and his three daughters, Christina, Stephanie, and Shanna.

He was born on April 17, 1962, to Joseph and Angelina Catalano and grew up in Bloomfield, NJ. Ed was a graduate of Bloomfield College and New York Chiropractic College. He worked as a chiropractor and practiced functional medicine at his practice in Little Falls, NJ. He was passionate about helping his patients and always went above and beyond to make sure they had the best possible care. Over the years, many of his patients became some of his dearest friends and made a lasting impact on his life.

The only thing more important to Ed than his work was his family. He had a close relationship with his daughters and stepdaughter, and was their biggest supporter at every school function, soccer game, dance recital, band performance, and more. Ed was also a Yankee fan who shared many special memories with his family watching games, both at the stadium and at home. He almost never skipped a day visiting his second home, the gym. As an avid weightlifter, he could deadlift an impressive 300 lbs well into his 50s. His passion for health and fitness was infectious and became a shared passion with his daughters.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday April 1st from 4:30 to 6:30 PM at Caggiano Memorial Home at 62 Grove Street in Montclair, NJ. A funeral mass will follow on Saturday April 2nd at 11:30 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Bloomfield, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to HealthWell Foundation to help patients receive lifesaving medicine and treatments that are not covered by insurance. When you give your donation, you may elect your “disease area” as Acute Myeloid Leukemia to help patients like Ed. https://www.healthwellfoundation.org/donate/
