Obituary for Anthony Bellante
Anthony “Tony” A. Bellante, 88, of Cape Coral, Fl., passed away suddenly on January 17, 2023. Tony was born on April 16, 1934, to Rocco and Margaret Bellante in Montclair, NJ. After graduating from Montclair H.S., he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served in the Korean War from 1957-1961.
In 1960, he married Alice Pennacchini and went on to have 3 children, Michael, Robert, and Marc.
In 2000, Tony retired from East Orange Veterans Hospital and moved to Florida, finally settling in Cape Coral.
Tony is survived by his sons, Michael (Linda) of Roselle Park, NJ, Robert (Kathy) of Cranford, NJ, and Marc (Lisa) of Wanaque, NJ. He was a loving Pop Pop to his 11 grandchildren, Michael Jr, Bryan, Brandon, Austin, Eric, Justin, Matthew, Tyler, Alyssa, Kayleigh, and Johnna, as well as 2 great-grandchildren Weston and Hudson and by his sister, Enez Panicoe.
Visiting will be Sunday, January 29th from 11-2pm at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St, Montclair.
A Catholic mass will be held at 11 am on Monday, January 30th, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Oratory, in Montclair.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Tony’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
