Marianne D. Karnas, nee DiGeronimo 90 years old, passed away peacefully at home on Monday,
February 20, 2023. Born in 1932 to Mary and Vincent DiGeronimo in Montclair, New Jersey, Marianne

Montclair. She was a volunteer at Our Lady Of Mount Carmel counting the money at Monday night
Bingo, and a long time volunteer at the Voting Station in Montclair among many other activities. She took
pride in loving her children, their spouses, her grandchildren and great grandchildren "all equally".
She is survived by her children, Jeannie Marie Skinner and her husband Richard, F. Chet Karnas and his
wife MaryEllen, Marialana Liloia and her husband Peter, Julianna Stoeckel and her husband Mike, and
Chester Karnas; her grandchildren, Richard Skinner, Robert Skinner, Jessica Skinner, Mason Karnas

Marianne's beloved husband Chester A. Karnas predeceased her 41 years ago. Before his death they
enjoyed many family trips to the family farm, "down the shore" and to the Poconos. They always attended
church together and enjoyed reading the newspaper and watching the news together. Christmas in their
household meant 100's of cookies, many gifts and tinseled trees. Sunday was always macaroni and
meatballs with gravy. Chet and Marianne loved each other deeply.
Marianne was predeceased by her sisters, Mildred Russo, Mary Miscia, Rachel Rubino, Sophie Sgroi,
Eleanor Bilotta, Gloria Lehman, and Mercedes Zicchelli, and her brothers, Joseph DiGeronimo, Daniel
DiGeronimo, Vincent DiGeronimo, Joseph A. DiGeronimo, and Benito DiGeronimo, also predeceased
