Obituary for Terry C Boggs
On March 25, 2023, Terry Boggs best known as Lump or The Lumpskie departed
this life peacefully. Terry was born in Glen Ridge New Jersey to Raymond Boggs &
Mary Boggs. He graduated from Montclair High School in Montclair NJ in 1967.
Terry loved life and was a mentor to many. He loved his family and extended
family. Shortly after graduating he moved to San Mateo California to study
engineering. While in California, Terry developed a love for traveling. His hobbies
and interest were photography, reading, swimming and listening to jazz. Terry
had the ability to spark a conversation with anyone. He truly had a natural gift of
communication. Terry eventually moved back to New Jersey where he worked for
Eastern Airlines and Fed Ex. He worked for Fed Ex over 20+ years where he
eventually retired in 2014. He became passionate about his love for Jehovah God
and would read the Bible daily. Terry leaves us so many wonderful memories to
cherish. Terrence was proceeded in death by his father Raymond Boggs. He is
survived by his loving mother Mary Boggs, his daughter Zikayyah Williams, his
grandson Sa’meer, his grand-daughter Zahirah, his devoted sister Vanessa Walker,
his brother in-law Charles Walker, his niece Heather Walker, his nephew Brad
Walker, his niece in-law Makeitha Walker, his great nephew Brad Walker Jr., his
cousin Joyce Davis whom he called his “Big Sis”, his partner Patricia Price, his Aunt
Sarah Jackson, his uncle Booker T. Boggs, his childhood friends Billy Swan and
Ronnie Durham and a host of relatives and friends. Terry will always be known for
his since of humor, generous spirit, welcoming attitude and his love for people.
He will surely be missed.
