Donald Lawrence Fletcher

Donald was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and most of all
friend. Donald was born September 28, 1943. He slipped quietly to be
with the Lord late Tuesday night, April 4, 2023.
Donald attended the Montclair School system and graduated from
Montclair High School in 1963 where he was an outstanding baseball
and basketball player. Upon graduation he became employed by
Elrob Manufacturing Corporation in Cedar Grove. Donald later moved
on to work with Ford Motor Company until they closed in 1979. He
then began working with the State of New Jersey’s Passaic Valley
Sewerage Commission in Newark where he retired.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents Linnie and William
Fletcher Sr., two brothers (Richard Fletcher (Gun Smoke) and William
Fletcher Jr. (Willie), one Sister Eleanor White and Great Nephew: Billy
Green Jr. (BJ).
He leaves to cherish his memory the following; His children, Donna
Fletcher Williams (Derrick), Richard Fletcher Sr.(Kathy), Duane
Fletcher (Jennifer) and God Daughter Constance Burke Gonzales.
Former Wife: Audrey Fletcher Lee, Grandchildren: Richard Fletcher
Jr., Jordan Fletcher(Gianna), Jared Fletcher (Courtney), Carly
Fletcher, Allie Fletcher and Miles Fletcher. Siblings: Carol Montague,
Butch Fletcher and Joan Drake. Nieces: Vicki Green, Carla
Montague, Tikeesha Drake, Tess Brown and Rorie Safforld. Nephew:
Edward Pelham and Christopher Brown. Great Nieces: “Tishonna
Green, Caniece Williams (Daryl), Desiree Wright, Jasmine Goodson,
Aleira Saffold, Maiya Wright, Nylah Safforld, Keyanna Safforld. Great
Nephew: Percy(Marcus) Wright and a host of Family and friends.
