Jerry Venezia, 94, of Bloomfield, passed away at his home on July 11, 2013 surrounded by his children and grandchildren.. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday July 15, 11am at St Aloysius Church, Caldwell, entombment at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Upper Montclair. Visiting will be on Sunday, July 14, from 2-4pm & 7-9pm at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St, Montclair. caggianomemorial.com


Jerry was born in Silver Lake section of Belleville and resided on Bloomfield from 1948 till present. Jerry served in the national guard before World War II he was employed by the county of Essex for over 25 years he served as a member of the Bloomfield Democratic Committee.

He is survived by his 6 children, Gerald and wife Kathy and Angelo and his wife Patricia , Sandra Gaudiosi and husband Anthony, Rosalie DiRienzo and her husband Tony, Deborah Del Vecchio and husband Richard and Loretta Venezia and partner Alexandra Tint, 10 grandchildren Karla ,Christopher, Matthew, Robert, Amy, Angelica , Jerilynn, Cassandra, Jessica, Richard III , 12 great grandchildren, his sister Evelyn Venezia, and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his wife Angela (nee Iannaconne) in 2003 his parents, Angelo and Rose Venezia, and the his siblings, Albert, John, and Florence Venezia, and a granddaughter, Melissa Ann Del Vecchio
