Obituary for Thomas P Franco Sr.
Thomas P. Franco Sr. Navy veteran, had career in the insurance industry, of Cedar Grove Thomas P. Franco Sr., 89, of Cedar Grove, N.J., passed away on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Dec. 16, at 10 a.m. at Saint Catherine of Siena Church in Cedar Grove, followed by entombment at Hollywood Cemetery in Union, N.J. Visiting will be at Caggiano Memorial Home, 62 Grove St., Montclair, N.J., on Tuesday, Dec. 15, from 4 to 8 p.m. Please visit caggianomemorial.com.
Thomas was born and raised in Newark, N.J., before moving to Cedar Grove over 60 years ago. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy. Thomas was an owner of FGS Agency and was involved in the insurance industry for most of his career.
He is survived by his children, Thomas P. Franco Jr. (Steven), Kenneth J. Franco (Gail), and Steven F. Franco (Linda); eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and a sister, Ann Marie O'Brien. He was predeceased by his wife, Jennie Franco; his brothers, Joe and Nick Franks, and a sister, Peggy Adubato.
