Fun with Nana

Both of my children were sitting around the table talking about how much they loved it when Nana came to visit...they remember her as such a fun loving and lively Nana.

Felicity reminded me of a story when she was around 10 or 11 and starting to get a bit boy crazy.  She was roller blading with Nana holding her hand ...all was going well and they were having fun until suddenly Felicity saw a boy she liked...well she lost her balance trying to see the boy...and fell taking Nana with her...they both came home laughing about what happened.

Santana has such sweet memories of cuddling with Nana and we all laughed about how he liked to take her cane and glasses and walk around the house pretending to be Nana..leaning on the cane - peering over his glasses and calling everyone (except me) a young wipper snapper....Mom got such a kick out of this.

I remember how much she encourged me to stay with my dream of having children...and how much she loved and cherished our frequent phone chats...where she got to hear about all my kids stories.

She so loved to dance....I used to call her Disco Dottie :) ...now she is dancing in heaven...keeping up everyone spirit.
