Obituary for Charles Steed
Charles A. Steed, 86, lifelong Montclair resident, passed away on Friday January 13, 2017. Visiting will be held on Friday January 20, from 4-7pm at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St, Montclair, and Saturday from 9am-10am with a funeral service to begin at 10am at the funeral home. Interment at Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth.
Charles was a letter carrier for the Montclair Post Office before retiring in 1989, and an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He is survied by his daughter Shawn Steed, a son, Glenn Steed (Hazell), and a daughter-in-law Crystal Steed, and other daughter Michele Tillman, a sister-in-law Helen Steed, a brother-in-law Charles "Butch" Burke and 1 grandchild, and was predeceased by his wife Barbara Jean (nee Burke), his son, Charles Steed Jr, his brothers, William and Arthur Steed, and by his sister Bertha Holder.
