Obituary for Theodore Cousins
Theodore “Toby” Cousins, 95, of Upper Montclair, passed away on March 6th, 2017. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday March 14, at 10:30am at St. Theresa’s of Calcutta Parish-Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 94 Pine St, Montclair, interment at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Upper Montclair. Visiting will be held on Monday March 13th from 4-8pm at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St, Montclair. Caggianomemorial.com
Toby was a Montclair Firefighter for 32 years before retiring in 1979. He was a member of the FMBA Montclair, the Vincent J. Russo Post 382, the Columbian Society, the Commonwealth Club in Upper Montclair, and donated over 106 pints of blood to the American Red Cross. He was a US Veteran of WWII, with distinguished service in North Africa, France and England. Toby was an avid Yankee and Montclair High School football fan.
He is survived by his children, James (Kathee), Richard (Shelly), Carol Theobald (Joseph), his grandchildren, Kimberly Alfano, Alyson Russ, Diana Theobald, Kristen , Kaitlyn, and Evan Cousins, his great grandchildren, Keira, Caroline, and Kevin Jr. and many nieces and nephews, and was predeceased by his wife Marguerite (nee DiGeronimo), and his brother George.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Ascend Hospice, 65 Jackson Drive Suite 103, Cranford, NJ 07016
