Frank C Guarneri, 97, of Bloomfield, passed away on Thursday November 8, 2012 at Clara Maass Care Unit in Belleville. Funeral mass will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday November 13 at Sacred Heart Church in Bloomfield, interment at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Upper Montclair. Visiting will be on Monday from 2-4pm & 7-9pm at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St., Montclair.

Frank was born in San Giuseppe province of Palermo, Sicily before moving to Bloomfield when he was 12. Frank is a veteran of World War ll, served two years active duty in the Atlantic and Pacific in the U.S. Navy and received an honorable discharge on Dec. 12, 1945. He was a barber in the town of Verona then worked for Hoffmann-LaRoche where he retired in 1980.

Frank is survived by his children, Vito and his wife Veronica, Joseph and his wife Nancy, Frank and his wife Carmela, and Steven Guarneri, his 5 grandchildren, Lori, Lisa, Joseph, Cristina, Christopher, and 8 great grandchildren, Brandon, Alexa, Caitlyn, Gabriella, Mikaela, Nicholas, Allysa, Madison. And a sister Rosalie Boehm.

He is predeceased by his wife of 72 years, Mary (nee Bardi) in 2009, they would of celebrated their 75 years anniversary this year, his sisters, Conchetti Longo, Theresa Cetrulo, Joann Finney, Josephine Stahl and a brother Sam Guarneri.
