As a neophyte freshman Center for the Clark College football team, I had the unenviable task of blocking you, the all-everything Nose Tackle from Morris Brown College for four quarters! And for four quarters you threw me around like a rag doll! Days after that game you told me and Kyle Choice how proud you, Kent Brooks and Mel Gordon were of us as former Mounties playing at an HBCU. And also how it was our responsibility to carry on the proud tradition of Montclair Pride at Clark. Your affirmation encouraged and inspired us to work hard on the field and in the classroom. Im glad I got to share this with you before you went home to the LORD. Take your rest my friend. Absent from the body; present with the LORD.
